Man charged with punching light outside Ledyard police HQ

Ledyard — A town man who was arguing with someone inside the police department lobby took out his anger by punching a light outside the building, police said.

Police said Skyler Davis, 18, of 4 Hemlock Circle was arguing with the person Saturday when he exited the headquarters. On his return to the lobby, police said, Davis punched the exterior light, causing minor damage.

Police said Davis then resisted officers’ attempts to arrest him for damaging property.

Released on a $1,500 bond, Davis is due in New London Superior Court April 20.
