Groton — A 24-year-old U.S. Navy sailor is missing from his home in Groton, police said Wednesday.

Jacob E. Tyler, whom police described as white with blond hair and blue eyes, was last seen leaving his house in Groton on Tuesday morning.

Tyler is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs about 220 pounds. He was riding a blue 2014 Honda CBR motorcycle with the Connecticut license plate 00KSVK.

Police said they don't know what he was wearing when he left the house. They are asking anyone with information about Tyler to call the Groton Town Police Department at (860) 441-6712.

Editor's Note: This version corrects Jacob E. Tyler's name, which was listed incorrectly in police's initial alert.
