Norwich man dies in motorcycle crash
A 24-year-old Norwich man was killed Friday afternoon in a one-car motorcycle accident on Route 169 in Lisbon, state police said.
Rayshawn D. Cooper of 328 West Main St., Apt. 2, Norwich, was traveling north on Route 169 before Club House Road when he sped past two other motor vehicles at 3:49 p.m. on Friday, a state accident summary said.
Cooper tried to negotiate the left-hand curve at the intersection of Route 169 and Blissville Road, but he lost control of his Suzuki motorcycle and was ejected from the vehicle, the report said. Emergency medical personnel pronounced him dead at the scene.
The accident is under investigation.
