Stonington, Groton Town police to participate in 'Click It or Ticket'

Stonington — Like Waterford police, Stonington and Groton Town police also will participate in the nationwide Click It or Ticket campaign beginning Monday.

Police will watch for drivers who aren’t wearing seat belts or are speeding, intoxicated or distracted. Police also will staff checkpoints as part of the campaign, which will last through June 3.

Funds from the state Highway Safety Office are supplementing the effort.
