After two pocketbooks were stolen from two vehicles in a Montville parking lot, state troopers are urging people to lock their vehicles, hide their valuables and take their keys.
Police responded to Wide World of Indoor Sports, a 2 Sachatello Drive in Oakdale, about 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday after getting reports of vehicle break-ins, according to a news release from state police.
Officers responded and found that, in both cases, the pocketbooks were left in plain sight. One of the vehicles was unlocked, and the other had a smashed window.
Anyone with information on the vehicle break-ins is asked to contact the Montville Police Department at (860) 848-7510, ext. 104.
