Plainfield police charge woman with having a sexual relationship with 14-year-old boy

Plainfield -- Police have charged a Howard Beach, N.Y., woman Monday with engaging in a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old boy.

Police said the case also remains under investigation by Norwich police and additional charges may be forthcoming.

Victoria M. Ales, 22, was charged with second-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor. She was scheduled to be arraigned in Danielson Superior Court on Monday.

On May 14, police said they were made aware of a possible sexual relationship between Ales and a 14-year-old boy. During the course of their investigation, police said they determined the sexual relationship occurred over the course of several months in Plainfield and Norwich. Police then obtained a warrant for her arrest and Ales turned herself in to police on Monday.
