Ledyard — An investigation into J & K Towing, an unlicensed auto repair shop, has yielded a second arrest.

Jessica L. Carlebach, 42, of 194 Whalehead Road, Ledyard, was charged Tuesday with operating a repair shop without a license, police said.

The investigation followed the Ledyard Police Department’s receipt of a February complaint from an individual who reported paying in advance for vehicle repairs J & K failed to perform. Police discovered that the state Department of Motor Vehicles had denied the shop a license.

Carlebach, arrested on a warrant, was released on a promise to appear Sept. 13 in New London Superior Court.

In July, police arrested Kyle Hair, 38, of the same Whalehead Road address, on the same charge.
