Norwich Fire Department to promote three

Norwich — The city fire department will promote three firefighters during a badge pinning ceremony at fire headquarters June 6.
The firefighter union said Capt. Marc Benjamin will become a battalion chief, Lt. Patrick Curtin will become a captain and firefighter Stephen Fricke will be promoted to the rank of lieutenant.
Benjamin will be the shift commander of Platoon 4, while Curtin will be assigned to Platoon 1 and Fricke will join Platoon 3.
The ceremony at 10 N. Thames St. will begin at 3 p.m.
