Groton Town police welcome former resident as newest officer

Groton — A man who used to live and work here has become the Groton Town Police Department's newest officer, police said.

Police said Officer Tyler Moreau, sworn in Wednesday, came to Groton from New Haven, where he worked the midnight shift for about two and a half years.

Originally from Ellington, Moreau will begin local training next week.
