Norwich police investigating early Tuesday shooting

Norwich — One person was taken to the hospital with injuries following a shooting outside a house on Surrey Lane early Tuesday morning.

According to a release, officers responded to a report of shots fired at 35 Surrey Lane about 12:30 a.m. A preliminary investigation found several shots fired at the front of the house, suggesting the residence was targeted. The person injured was treated by members of the East Great Plain Fire Department and American Ambulance.

The police are asking anyone in the area with information, including security camera footage, to contact the police department at (860) 886-5561, ext. 3154.
