Norwich police investigate Tuesday night stabbing
Norwich — City police are investigating a stabbing that sent one man to the hospital with injuries Tuesday night.
The stabbing was reported at 8:42 p.m. on Main Street, although it was not clear exactly where the incident occurred or how many people may have been involved, Norwich police Lt. Tim Rykowski said.
The victim was being treated at The William W. Backus Hospital for nonfatal injuries, Rykowski said. Police on Wednesday said the injuries were minor.
A section of Main Street, from Cliff Street to Park Street, was closed for hours while officers were on the scene investigating, Rykowski said.
No further information was immediately available.
