UPDATED: Police say endangered runaway from Montville found safe

Montville — State Police said Sunday that Abigail Deford, 17, who had been missing since Thursday, was found safely Saturday night. She had been characterized as an endangered runaway.

Deford is white with brown eyes and black hair, police said. She is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs about 245 pounds. Police said she was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt, dark jeans and black sneakers with light-up soles.

She has been missing since Thursday, police said. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact state police at Troop E at (860) 848-6500.
