Norwich — Police say a New London man punched two of their officers who responded to a disturbance on Main Street Friday.
Bernard King, 29, of 855 Bank St., New London, was charged with two counts of assault on a public safety officer and one count of breach of peace. He was held on a $20,000 bond and was arraigned Monday in New London Superior Court.
Police said they were called to Main Street for a disturbance involving a man under the influence of alcohol or drugs. When officers approached Blue, he allegedly punched one officer in the face, causing a minor injury and punched the second officer, who was not injured.
