Preston woman facing charges in incident involving firearm
Preston — Police say a Preston woman is facing charges after she reportedly displayed a firearm.
Police said they responded to an "active disturbance" about 3:57 p.m. Monday. Officers, upon investigating, said it was alleged that Brittany L. Stickman had opened her jacket and showed a firearm.
Police said they contacted Stickman, who they said was highly intoxicated, and recovered a Ruger .22 caliber handgun.
Stickman, of 168 Route 2A, No. 10, Preston, was charged Monday with illegally carrying a firearm while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, second-degree breach of peace and first-degree threatening. She is due in the Geographical Area 21 court in Norwich on March 4.
