Family displaced by fire in Salem

Salem — The Red Cross said it is assisting a family of five displaced by a fire here Thursday.

The blaze, on Carvalho Drive, displaced two adults and three children, the organization said in a news release Thursday night. The organization said it provided personal care items to the family, as well as information about how to clean up after a fire.

Connecticut State Police and fire officials provided no further details.
