New London police nab suspect in restaurant burglary
New London — City police on Tuesday morning arrested a suspect in a burglary at Tony’s Caribbean Restaurant at 90 Truman St.
Police said they responded to the restaurant at 5:48 a.m. and found 50-year-old Alberto Muniz in possession of items that appeared to be from the restaurant. Officers also located a smashed rear window at the business.
Police said they collected and processed additional items from the restaurant and the business owner was contacted.
Muniz is charged with first-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief and sixth-degree larceny.
Police said the investigation remains active.
