Bicyclist injured in New London accident

New London — A bicyclist was injured in an accident with a car Monday afternoon in the area of Montauk and Willetts avenues.

Police said the accident occurred at 3:49 p.m. The adult male cyclist was taken by ambulance to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital for treatment. The motorist remained on scene and was cooperating with the investigation.

Police said they continue to investigate and are reconstructing the accident. They have not yet released the names of those involved.
