Motorcyclist seriously injured in Voluntown crash

Voluntown — State police said a motorcyclist sustained serious injuries in a crash in Voluntown on Saturday evening, and the man was taken by Life Star helicopter to Rhode Island Hospital in Providence.

Police said the accident between a car and motorcycle occurred at the intersection of Beach Pond and Rockville roads about 7:27 p.m.

State police released no further details on the crash Sunday.
