UPDATED: Jet skier killed in Connecticut River accident is identified

Haddam — A Moodus man was killed in a jet ski accident on the Connecticut River late Sunday afternoon.

State Environmental Conservation police are investigating the incident, which killed Stephen Fabian, 59.

According to the state Department of Energy and Environmental Protection, passing boaters reported a jet ski adrift at approximately 4:42 p.m. An environmental conservation police boat arrived at the scene at 4:55 p.m. and recovered Fabian from the water.
