Groton — Four juveniles have been charged with allegedly pointing BB guns out of a car window near an apartment complex in the City of Groton on Tuesday night, police said.

About 8:30 p.m. Tuesday police received a report that four people wearing ski masks were pointing two BB guns from the window of a gray Honda Civic and aiming them at bystanders near the Sound Breeze apartments on Shennecossett Road, according to the City of Groton Police Department.

The group in the car also allegedly shouted "profanities and derogatory remarks" at the people outside, police said.

Officers spotted the Civic, which matched the description witnesses gave, and pulled over the car.

Each of the four juveniles — who were not identified because of their age — was charged with breach of peace, according to police.
