    Two people die in Franklin crash Monday evening

    Franklin — Two people died and two people were injured, including one seriously, in a car accident Monday evening on Route 32, Connecticut State Police said.

    According to the police report, a Honda Accord EX-L, was heading north on Route 32 and failed to maintain its lane, traveling across the northbound lane into the southbound lane. The Honda then hit a Lexus NX2, which was driving south. The collision happened about 7:49 p.m. Monday in the area of Meeting House Hill Road.

    Police said the driver of the Lexus, identified as Lauren M. Foley, 30, of Mount Sinai, N.Y., was taken by Life Star helicopter to Hartford Hospital with suspected serious injuries.

    Jullian R. Parrilla, 24, of Windham, the driver of the Honda, was taken to Backus Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased, police said. Andre S. Wade, 25, of Willimantic, a passenger in the Honda, was pronounced deceased on scene. Isaiah B. Rivera, 21, who also was a passenger in the Honda, was taken to Windham Hospital for suspected minor injuries.

    Police said the accident remains under investigation. Anybody who witnessed the accident is asked to call state police at Troop K,(860) 465-5400.
