    Sound Advice 02-17-23

As a Realtor, Celeste Santilli provides counsel to clients about how to get their homes ready for the market, so that they show well and fetch the highest price from a buyer. She shared three tips for readers who may be considering selling their homes in the year ahead. The first point of business is curb appeal. Check back in the next two weeks for her follow-up advice.

“You’ve made the decision to sell your home, but perhaps you may not have the funds or time to renovate or modernize it. Still, there are three key cost-effective steps that a seller can take to prepare the property for the market. The first is to consider the curb appeal and how you might improve the first impression your home will have on a prospective buyer. Perhaps add fresh coats of paint; change the color of your front door, or introduce perennials to your landscaping.”
