Last week, Realtor Celeste Santilli offered suggestions on how to prepare the interiors of a house for the market. Next, tend to outbuildings, the backyard and basement, taking into consideration how they’ll show to a prospective buyer, she advises:

“Now that you’ve considered curb appeal and the inside of your home, turn your focus to other spaces, including the basement, garage and backyard. Cleaning, organizing, purging, power-washing, arranging outdoor furniture, tending to foliage, and using landscaping lighting will all help make your home more welcoming and ready for the next owners.”
