    Sound Advice June 21, 2024

When buying a home, you may create a wish list that includes the ideal number of bedrooms, the spaces you desire in a floor plan, and the architectural style you prefer. But, as Realtor Sara Venditto explains, your lifestyle should also guide your search:

“When asked, ‘What are you looking for in a home,’ think beyond bedrooms and bathrooms and consider lifestyle features that fit your household. How will your routine be impacted by a new commute to work, school, clubs, family, shopping, etc.? Is your vision to be the gathering spot where friends and family flock to, or maybe you prefer a peaceful retreat tucked away from life’s hustle. Do you need extra space for hobbies, a home office, creative studio, gardening shed? If walking your dog or going for a daily run is part of your routine, then sidewalks or quieter roads may be on the must-have list when house shopping. Your life is more than beds and baths, and your home should be a reflection of what is important to you and brings you joy; ensure you are defining your next home to match your lifestyle.”
