Interact Club Hosts Cry Baby Scramble

The Guilford High School Interact Club recently hosted the third annual "Cry Baby" Golf Scramble. It was held at the Guilford Lakes Golf Course and featured very challenging pin placements and obstacles. The event was successful as the club raised more than $4,300. All proceeds from this event will be donated to charitable programs, such as the Haitian Health Foundation, Guilford Food Bank, Happy Houses in Haiti, the New Haven Battered Women's Shelter, Bio-Sand water filters, St. Jude's Children's Hospital, the Cove, and the Guilford Foundation. The Interact Club is sponsored by the Guilford Rotary Club and is dedicated to community service. The Interact Club also assists in Rotary events, such as the Lobsterfest and the Frosty 5K Run. Any Guilford High School student wishing to get information on how to join the club can contact Ms. Samperi in the guidance office at Guilford High School or any Interact Club member.
