    H.S. track & field: Martino leads Bacon boys past Fitch, 77-73

    Colchester — Jake Martino won three events as Bacon Academy beat Fitch 77-73 in a boys’ track & field meet on Wednesday.

    Martino took the 110-meter hurdles (16.4 seconds), discus (135 feet, 4 inches) and javelin (144-1). Ryan Moores won the 800 (2:07.5) and 3200 (10:43) for the Bobcats (7-1) and teammates Aaron Fidrych, Noah Auden and Josh Fenton also won events.

    Ryan Dunning of Fitch (4-2) won the 1600 (4:39) and 300 hurdles (43.2) and teammates Charles Tarbox, Oakley Garrison, Gianni Colebut, Caylen Morris and Zayshawn Griffin also won events for the Falcons.

    In other meets:

    • Shawn Henning won a pair of events as East Lyme finished an unbeaten season with a 92-40 win over Stonington. Henning took the 100 (11.1) and 200 (22.8). Kai Ritz, Sean McCauley, Thomas Matlock, Bruce Manwaring and Thomas McCormack and Callaway Scott also won events for the Vikings (7-0). Josh Mooney of Stonington won the discus (142-8), 110 hurdles (15.1) and 300 hurdles (38.6). Ryan Gruczka and Andres Dahl also won events for the Bears (4-4).

    • Adonis Santiago won a pair of events as Montville beat Lyman Memorial 72-69. Santiago took the 100 (11.9) and javelin (121-9). Noah Keenan, Yomilex Ramirez, Dylan Horkey, Adam Sheridan at Lebron Maurice also won events for Montville (5-4). Lyman’s Kyle Franchi won the high jump (5-6), pole vault (10-0) and triple jump (36-0). Anthony Williams of Lyman (3-4) won the discus (105-3) and shot put (36-8). Ethan Apicelli, Holden LeMay and Nicholas Zaprianov also won events for the Bulldogs.

    • Christian Wiltshire won three events as Ledyard capped an unbeaten season with a 95-55 win over NFA. Wiltshire won the high jump (5-10), long jump (20-9) and triple jump (39-10). Peyton Luther took the 200 (23.8) and 400 (55.6) and Jonas Regondola the 110 hurdles (16.6) and 300 hurdles (45.1) for Ledyard (6-0), and teammates Auguste Estriplet, Brady Moorehead and Luca Viviano also won events. Jeremiah Paul, Nicholas DeBartolo, Ethan Manfredi, DeAndre Ducael and Mason Holt won events for NFA (1-3).

    • Theodore Lampos won three events Dylan Sheehan two as Old Lyme swept a Shoreline Conference tri-meet, beating Hale-Ray 103-21 and North Branford 92-26. Lampos won the 110 hurdles (18.8), 200 hurdles (48.7) and long jump (15-7) and Sheehan took the shot put (49-2) and discus (158-2). Dylan Hovey, Gabriel Tooker, Eric Dagher, Calvin Monte and Caden Monte also won events for the Wildcats.

    Girls

    • Emily McKelvey, Leah Comeroski and Magda Carpenter won two events each as Lyman Memorial beat Montville 78-72. McKelvey won the 100 (13.0) and 300 hurdles (50.5), Comeroski took the 200 (27.1) and triple jump (33-11) and Carpenter won the 800 (2:38.2) and 3200 (14:15.5). Ella Caplet, Gabriela Dinisoe and Jenny Lopez also won events for the Bulldogs (6-1). Maya Suarez, Ashlynn Audoin, Keyra Huaman, Evangelina St. Pierre, Hannah Suarez, Sam Kuruchi and Katie Myjak won events for Montville (7-2).

    • Zoe Eastman-Grossel and Maggie Thuma were doubles winners as Old Lyme beat Hale-Ray 81-19 and North Branford 73-29 in a Shoreline Conference tri-meet. Eastman-Grossel took the 400 (1:03.4) and 100 hurdles (16.8) and Thuma won the discus (92-6) and javelin (69.2). Alyssa Spooner, Olivia Powers, Mutia Quarshie and Emma Cook also won events for the Wildcats.

    • Lauren Hinckley won three events as East Lyme downed Stonington 108.5-18.5. Hinckley won the 100 (12.7), 200 (26.9) and triple jump (34.7). Rachel Quadrato, Aranza Torres, Nikhita Bolineni, Sophia Seguin, Elianna Wallace, Lacey-Lee Keramidas, Hailey DeNucci, Grace Blackwood and Jayla Washington also won events for the Vikings (6-1). Peyton Vanderstreet of Stonington (2-6) won the 1600.

    • Alyssa Blanchette won three events as Bacon Academy beat Fitch 91-49. Blanchette took the 200 (27.5), shot put (29-8) and high jump (4-10). Saniyah Otero, Avery Anderson, Melina McKenzie, Isabella Falkowski, Megan Braga, Leah Hochholzer and Katelyn Novak also won events for the Bobcats (6-2). Jayla Robinson, Hannah Thomas, Grace Noland, Hannah Hurley, Destinee Pena and TahJanae Knight won events for Fitch (1-5).
