'High School Musical's' Corbin Bleu to star in Goodspeed show

Goodspeed Musicals has announced that Corbin Bleu and Danielle Wade will lead the cast for the world premiere musical comedy "Summer Stock."

Filled with dance numbers and hits from the American songbook, "Summer Stock" will run July 7-Aug. 27 at The Goodspeed in East Haddam.

Bleu starred in "High School Musical" on TV and shows including "Kiss Me Kate," "Holiday Inn" and "In the Heights" on Broadway.

Wade was on Broadway and on tour in "Mean Girls" and was in the North American tour of "Wizard of Oz."

“Summer Stock” features a book by Cheri Steinkellner, based on the 1950 film by George Wells and Sy Gromberg.
