Niantic Bay Playhouse stages ‘Murder on the Orient Express’

Niantic Bay Playhouse turns to an Agatha Christie mystery for its next show.

Niantic Bay Playhouse’s production of “Murder on the Orient Express” opens on Friday.

“Murder on the Orient Express” is one of the Dame’s best novels, and this stage version is adapted by playwright Ken Ludwig.

David Conaway directs the production, which stars Tom Lazur as Hercule Poirot. The cast also includes Michael Vernon Davis, Sally Derusha, Libby Hall, Bryn Martin, Tiernan Shea, Brian O’Sullivan, Milt Angelopoulos, Nichelle Rollins, Suzil Von and Dylan Conaway.

“Murder on the Orient Express,” Niantic Bay Playhouse, 279 Main St., Niantic; opens June 2 and runs through June 17; 7:30 p.m. Fri. and Sat. and June 15; 2 p.m. Sun.; $25-28 for adults, $23 for seniors and students; nianticbayplayhouse.org, (860) 850-5072.
