Men charged with attempting to steal toothpaste

Bloomfield (AP) — Two Bloomfield men had a brush with the law after allegedly trying to steal 173 tubes of toothpaste from a store in Manchester.
WVIT-TV reports that 52-year-old Carlis Devorce and 43-year-old Alexander Grice were charged Monday with larceny after being arrested in the parking lot of the Dollar Tree store in Manchester.
Grice also was charged with possession of heroin.
Both men were being held in lieu of $7,500 bond.
