Hartford mayor tests positive for COVID-19, will miss VP visit

Hartford Mayor Luke Bonin announced that he tested positive for COVID-19 on Tuesday, as he prepared for Vice President Kamala Harris’ visit to Central Connecticut State University on Wednesday.

Bronin made the announcement Tuesday afternoon on Twitter, quipping that instead of going to the Vice President Harris’ appearance, he will be working from home.

“In preparation for the @VP ’s visit tomorrow, just took a covid test. Surprise! Looks like it’s going to be a WFH week,” Bronin wrote.

It’s the second time Bronin tested positive for COVID. He experienced fairly mild symptoms when he tested positive in May.
