23-year-old man shot and killed in Waterbury
A 23-year-old man was shot and killed in Waterbury on Monday afternoon, according to the Waterbury Police Department.
Officers responded to Willow Street for a report of shots fired after 4 p.m. Police located a crime scene where the incident was reported.
Police said they were then notified that a gunshot victim was dropped off at Waterbury Hospital shortly after. Officers responded to the hospital and located the victim, identified as a 23-year-old man.
The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead by hospital staff just before 5 p.m., according to police.
