NEW HAVEN (AP) — A Connecticut man has been sentenced to prison for buying and reselling $1.5 million worth of stolen goods.

George Connelly Jr., of New Haven, was sentenced Tuesday to 6½ years in prison after he was convicted in May of interstate transport of stolen property.

Prosecutors say the 48-year-old Connelly and his co-defendant, Paul Muzyka, bought stolen items from people and sold the goods at their secondhand store in New Haven, Ace Amusements, and on eBay between 2007 and 2016. Prices were often about one-third of retail.

The items were stolen from stores including Target, Lowe's, Home Depot and CVS Pharmacy, usually by shoplifters with opioid addictions.

Muzyka pleaded guilty in March and faces sentencing in November.

Connelly is free on $100,000 bail before he reports to prison Dec. 3.
