NEW YORK (AP) — Authorities have released the identities of the two passengers from Georgia and Connecticut who were killed in the plane crash off New York's Long Island on Saturday.

State police on Tuesday identified the passengers as 45-year-old Jennifer Landrum, of Augusta, Ga., and 53-year-old Richard Terbrusch, of Ridgefield, Conn.

Georgia school officials say Landrum was a high school special education teacher in Thomson.

The twin-engine Piper PA-34 was headed from Connecticut to Charleston, S.C., when it crashed in about 20 feet of water south of Quogue, N.Y., in the Hamptons, killing all three aboard.

The body of the pilot, 41-year-old Munidat "Raj" Persaud, of Waterbury, Conn., was found shortly after the crash.

The Federal Aviation Administration and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.
