    Suffield police: Man suspected of numerous nighttime Dunkin' Donuts burglaries arrested

    A man suspected of numerous nighttime burglaries from April to June at Dunkin' Donuts throughout the state was arrested by Suffield Police Thursday afternoon, police said.

    Brett M. Johnson, 31, with a last known address of 124 Birch St. in Manchester, was arrested at Enfield Superior Court on Thursday and charged with third degree burglary, sixth degree criminal attempt to commit larceny and third degree criminal mischief regarding a May 31 burglary at a Dunkin' Donuts on Mountain Road, police said Friday. He was held overnight on $20,000 bond, police said.

    When arrested Thursday, police said Glastonbury, Canton and several State Police Trooper barracks had six additional arrest warrants for Johnson for burglaries, police said.

    Suffield Police were investigating a May 31 overnight burglary and obtained a warrant for Johnson's arrest on July 14.

    On May 31 at about 2 a.m., Suffield Police received a 911 call from a Dunkin' Donuts employee on Mountain Road saying that anman had entered the rear of the business, police said. The suspect had fled the scene before police arrived. The suspect was described as a thin, white man approximately 5'5" tall and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans. Police were told that a beige- or tan-colored sedan was seen in the area at the time the crime was happening and may be involved.

    Police said efforts to locate Johnson until Thursday had been unsuccessful. Police partnered with the United States Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force in an attempt to locate Johnson, police said.
