Jackson de-commits from UConn and will attend Georgia
Class of 2015 recruit Will Jackson, who gave UConn a verbal commitment in February, has decided to stay close to home and attend the University of Georgia.
The 6-foot-4 Jackson attends Athens (Ga.) Christian School. He reportedly made the move because of UConn's guard depth and desire to play for Georgia coach Mark Fox.
His decision apparently wasn't a surprise judging from a number of recruiting service reports.
"I felt like UConn was getting a lot of guards, and it just isn't the right place for me in the future," Jackson told Rivals, a recruiting service. "Georgia is home for me, and it will be easier transition for me."
He's the second Class of 2015 guard recruit to de-commit in recent weeks. Prince Ali reopened his recruiting search. Recently-committed Jalen Adams, a shooting guard from Pembroke Pines, Fla., is the only member of UConn's 2015 recruiting class.
