Cochran has record day as UConn routs Memphis 45-10

East Hartford — Casey Cochran passed for a school record 461 yards and four touchdowns as UConn ended its football season with a 45-10 rout of Memphis on Saturday in an American Athletic Conference game at Rentschler Field.

Cochran, who led New London and Masuk to state titles in high school, broke the single-game record of 445 yards set by Dan Orlovsky against Syracuse in 2004. Cochran completed 36 of 54 passes for the Huskies, who won their final three games after an 0-9 start.

In addition, junior wide receiver Geremy Davis tied a single-game record with 15 receptions and his 207 receiving yards allowed him to become the first UConn player in the FBS era to finish with 1,000 receiving yards in a season (he finished with 1,085). Freshman receiver Deshon Foxx also had a big receiving day with 11 catches for 137 yards and two touchdowns.
