New London, Conn. (April 6, 2010) – Spirit Gallery - New London’s art gallery and tattoo studio hybrid – announces the addition of tattoo artist Eugene Kaik to its staff.

A native of Connecticut, Kaik studied illustration at the Hussain School of Art in Philadelphia before beginning his career as a tattoo artist at Art & Soul Tattoo in Fort Myers, Fla. A collector and admirer of comic books, Kaik’s tattoo style is heavily influenced by comic book artwork with bold coloring and a creative use of line-work.

“[Eugene] has some serious talent and brings a taste for darker and more classic work to the studio,” Spirit Gallery owner Blaze Schwaller said. “If you are looking for monsters, demons or zombies Eugene could be a perfect fit for your tattoo needs.”

Kaik joins the studio’s resident tattoo artists Stacey Blanchard, Schwaller, herself, and body piercer Lari Wilson.
