Chris Frye gives his son Chris, 1, his first haircut at Frye's Barshop at the former Ledyard Center School on Sunday, February 21, 2021.  His son was also his first customer, the shop officially opens next week.

"I never thought I'd be cutting (hair) in my elementary school," said the elder Frye, a Ledyard native. The second haircut was given by his coursin Justin Caras to their grandfater Ed Mitchell.
