I'm not sure if country music giant Brad Paisley was establishing a precedent in Mississippi a few nights ago. During a concert at Ole Miss, Paisley gave away a free guitar to a fan in the front row — just leaned out over the edge of the stage and handed the over the ax.

Well, Brad, as you know, I've always been a fan. You're one of the finest guitarists in the world, a songwriter who can mine the depths of the human heart one minute and, the next, make us laugh our asses off and open cans of cold beer and, by all accounts, are a genuine and friendly guy.

As such, I hope you'll feel free to hand me a Gibson Flying V Sunday night.

Paisley and band, out on their "Crushin' It" world tour, will entertain Sunday in the Mohegan Sun Arena. Expect the usual greatness from his expansive body of songs, as well as treats from such artists as Metallica and Van Halen.
