George Lopez brings his standup to Foxwoods

    Beware of heckling George Lopez.

The comedian ripped on a female audience member at a recent show, setting off a TMZ-infused firestorm. (Of course, a video of the confrontation ended up with TMZ …)

It started at a February Phoenix show when Lopez said as part of his act, “There’s still two rules in the (expletive) Latino family. Don’t marry somebody black, and don’t park in front of our house. A woman in the crowd stood up and flipped him off, which sent Lopez into a bit of a rage, with choice words including “Sit your (expletive) (expletive) down. I’m talking, (expletive) … You can’t take a joke, you’re in the wrong (expletive) place.”

He eventually had her kicked out.

So you know where you stand when Lopez performs Saturday at Foxwoods’ Grand Theater. Lopez is doing a solo gig here, between other shows he’s doing periodically as part of “The Comedy Get Down” with Charlie Murphy, Eddie Griffin, D.L. Hughley and Cedric the Entertainer.

And then Lopez always has a lot going on outside of standup, too. He’s got a TV Land series, “Lopez,” in which he plays a fictionalized version of himself.

He also acted in and produced the 2015 Lionsgate film “Spare Parts,” about a quartet of undocumented Mexican-American teens who built an underwater robot for a national robotics competition. It’s based on a true story.

    George Lopez, 8 p.m. Saturday, Foxwoods’ Grand Theater; $44, $54; 1-800-200-2882.
