Peeps contest inspires the region
The daffodils are out and the weather is getting milder, but there's one more true harbinger of spring we have to celebrate: our annual Peeps contest!
This year we asked Peeps artists to create Peeps-populated dioramas based on any news event from the past year. In return, we received (several) Justin "Peeper" designs; more than one homage to Lindsay Lohan and her new necklace; a tribute to the Red Cross's efforts in Japan; and a representation of the protests in Libya; among many other clever designs.
At press time, the popular vote on theday.com was still under way, so visit www.theday.com/peeps today to find out who readers selected as their top Peep. Winners will receive Peeps prize packs, including candy and gift certificates to the PEEPS & Co. online store.
Pictured below are some of our favorite images from this year's batch of entries, as well as the editor's choice winner, "Peepsformers: Dark of the Moon" by Bethany Traverso of Mystic.
