    Generous community supports local hospice

Last fiscal year, members of our community donated more than $500,000 to Hospice Southeastern Connecticut. From participation in our WALK and Regatta events to memorial gifts and gifts made through our annual appeal, I continue to be amazed at the generous nature of our community.

As a community based, nonprofit agency, the funds donated to our agency go a long way to enabling us to provide the best end-of-life care and bereavement services to our neighbors. When I think of a family who receives the news that their loved one has a few months left to live because of a terminal illness, I am grateful to know that they can turn to our compassionate team of clinicians for care, advice and support. When I think of a child who loses their beloved grandmother or a parent who loses their child, I am grateful to know they can turn to our bereavement counselors for the therapeutic support they need.

With the support of our community, we are able to provide these services to anyone regardless of inability to pay or lack of adequate insurance coverage. We appreciate New London County for your years of generous support.
