It was only a matter of time before Margaret Cho devoted her standup show to motherhood. She has, after all, mined her impression of her traditional mother to crease some of her most memorable comedy routines.
Cho's new show "Mother," though, look at the whole notion of motherhood, not just her own family. The program delves into, as the publicity describes it, "how we look at maternal figures and strong women in queer culture." Through that prism, Cho touches on race, drugs, celebrities, sexuality and more.
She's bringing "Mother" to Foxwoods' Fox Theater for a performance Friday.
