Watertown woman arrested after driving wrong way on bridge
Groton — A Watertown woman who police said drove the wrong way on the Gold Star Memorial Bridge in May, causing a head-on collision, was arrested Nov. 14 for drunken driving.
Rebeccah Rockman, 22, was charged with driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving the wrong way on a highway and failure to have headlights illuminated.
Police said Rockman was driving a rental car on Interstate 95 North at about 12:48 a.m. on May 29 with no headlights on. She crashed into a SUV, injuring a woman from Hyannis, Mass., and her 5-year-old daughter.
Police said the highway was closed for an hour and a half as they investigated the incident.
