The Mystic Irish Parade happens Sunday
The Mystic Irish Parade is a big deal. As in: around 2,000 marchers taking part and more than 30,000 viewers lining the streets.
That's big.
This year's procession begins at 1 p.m. Sunday, and it marches from Mystic Seaport to Main Street to the Mystic Arts Center.
This parade has it all, from bands - Celtic pipe groups, high-school bands, drum and bugle corps, and the Boston-based Irish folk band Inchicore - to fire trucks and antique cars.
And this year's grand marshal is Tony Sheridan, who is president of the Chamber of Commerce of Eastern Connecticut.
