Riverfront hosts annual auction fundraiser

The Riverfront Children's Center presents its ninth annual auction fundraiser, "A Savory Musical Affair," on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at Shennecossett Yacht Club, 1010 Shennecossett Road, Groton.

Sixteen local restaurants will provide food, alongside a wine and champagne bar. Jazz band Tag Team will perform.

Among the items up for bid in the silent auction is a Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce one-year membership, Simply Majestic jewelry, two adult guest passes for the Mystic Seaport, Yale Peabody museum passes, home/garden items, local art, hand-made artisan works and more. A basket raffle and a 50/50 raffle will round out the evening.
