    Heroin-related deaths in 2012 and 2013

    According to Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services statistics, some 8,000 of its clients named heroin as their primary drug in 2011, but by 2013, that number had jumped to 10,000. Over the past year The Day has followed the ongoing problem and how it has affected our state.

    Below, we look at the number heroin-related deaths 2012 and 2013 for all Connecticut counties according to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
