A day in the Rose Garden

Lily Brown, 7, of Colchester spends time with her sisters, Aili, 5, and Indigo,10, and their mother, Carissa Brown, at the Norwich Memorial Rose Garden Monday, June 19, 2017. The family has a jar at home with slips of paper with summer activities printed on them and today, their first day of summer without school, the rose garden was selected. The garden honors those who have served to protect our freedom and democracy and was first dedicated in 1948 and again on its 60th anniversary in 2008. (Dana Jensen/The Day)
