You can never have enough Cash — whether you’re talking actual money or Johnny. But there’s another resonant local context. On Thursday’s edition of The Day’s “Live Lunch Break” concert series, we featured the music of hometowner Ethan Cash, recent winner of a 2015 Best Singer-Songwriter trophy at the Whalie Awards. Over the course of an eight-song set in New London’s Hygienic Art Park, Cash emphasized winning material from his debut CD, “This Love Will Burn Forever.” But there was even MORE Cash. Playing lead guitar and providing harmony vocals was Ethan’s father, Don Cash. Area music fans know and revere the Old Man for his long stint as leader of Mars Slingshot, the popular rock band. If you missed the show, we archive all of our “Live Lunch Break” shows at theday.com.
