Letting the ‘iD’ run wild: Cirque Éloize at Foxwoods

    ID Cirque Eloize

Cirque Éloize's show gracing Foxwoods in August is titled "iD," and it'll highlight the troupe's renowned gravity-defying artistry.

Performing the piece will be acrobats and contortionists and break dancers. Group co-founder Jeannot Painchaud created "iD" in 2009 with the idea of calling upon both circus arts and urban dance. The result is a work set in a city, where two gangs have a run-in. These battling performers execute cycle tricks and bounce off trampolines, amid 3D projections and graffitied sets and set to music by Jean-Phi Goncalves and Alex McMahon.

"iD" runs at Foxwoods' Fox Theater all through August, with shows every day except Monday, so there are plenty of chances for Cirque fans to catch the juggling, rope-jumping, aerial-hoop-spinning entertainment.
